I recently participated in the 2-mile run through the Holiday Light Display at Shady Brook Farm, and it instantly brought back so many fun memories from my childhood. I can still vividly remember the excitement my siblings and I felt as we piled into the back seat of our parents’ car, blankets in hand and our favorite Christmas songs playing, getting ready to drive through the enchanting light show at Shady Brook Farm.
With more than three million lights illuminating the 50-acre field, we were mesmerized by the amazing displays. From beloved characters such as SpongeBob and the Grinch to the Seven Wonders of the World, the light show has something for everyone to enjoy! The holiday light show quickly became a cherished family tradition that we look forward to every year.
Shady Brook Farm also offers an open-air wagon ride through the lights, which can be reserved for private parties - perfect for big gatherings! For those looking for an even more immersive experience, you can participate in the 2-mile walk or run through the lights to get into the holiday spirit while getting your steps in! Gather your friends and family, come up with a fun group name, and compete in the race, or simply stroll through and take in the views.
After enjoying the spectacular light show, don’t forget to head over to Santa’s Village! There, you can capture the magic by taking photos with Santa.
