There’s plenty of outdoor Halloween fun to be had this year in Bucks County. Lucky us, the spooky holiday falls on a Sunday, meaning we can spend the whole day partaking in parties!
Froehlich’s Farm
Froehlich’s Farm is opening up their festival fields for their annual Fall Festival. On Saturdays and Sundays in October, come on out to build your own scarecrows, pick your own pumpkins from their pumpkin fields, play on inflatable obstacle courses and so much more! You can even take a hayride around their 100-acre farm to see some of their creative hay bale decorations or challenge yourself to find your way around their 5-acre hay maze. While at the farm, participate in a pumpkin shoot, a pumpkin sling shot, pumpkin bowling and pumpkin decorating… who knew there was so many activities to do with pumpkins?!?!
Peddler’s Village
Join Peddler’s Village in celebrating their 42nd Annual Scarecrows in the Village Display until October 30th. The paths around the Village are lined with creative and crafty scarecrows made by local residents, businesses and organizations. Join in on the fun by voting for your favorite in eight different categories: Traditional, Quite the Character, Thrills with Chills, Myth & Lore, Upcycled Crow, Pink Out, Kids Only, and Village Shops.
Sleepy Hollow Haunted Acres
This award-winning haunted attraction located in Newtown has two attractions available for 2021 – The Hollow and The Field. Take a theatrical approach to their haunted house - “The Hollow” - and their handmade sets combined with short skits make you feel like you are on the set of a spooky Halloween movie. The paths of “The Field” guide you through an old village that is haunted by ghost from the 1800s. When not in one of the main attractions, you can grab a bite to eat, relax around a bonfire and enjoy some live music, or stop by and visit their “Freaks on Fire” arena for some fiery entertainment.
Sesame Place® Philadelphia’s Not-So-Spooky Halloween Drive Thru
Sesame Place’s Not-So-Spooky Halloween Drive Thru is back for their sophomore year with a bigger and better experience to celebrate the Halloween season. Load up your friends and family into the car on Wednesday nights from now until October 27th to take a drive down Sesame Street™ to see all of your favorite neighborhood monsters dressed in their favorite Halloween costumes. Multiple trick-or-treat stations are set up along the way, so make sure to bring along your sweet tooth!
Sesame Place® Philadelphia’s The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular
Count Von Count is eager to welcome you to Sesame Street™ to celebrate his favorite holiday – Halloween! Our furry friends will be presenting 3 special seasonal shows and will be marching their way down Sesame Street for the Neighborhood Street Party Halloween Parade. New this year is the Halloween Fun Zone which includes cookie decorating, dance parties, photo ops and more! Count’s Halloween Spooktacular is an exciting time to visit Sesame Place and is a great way to spend some not-so-spooky fun with the whole family just in time for Halloween.
Shady Brook Farm
Shady Brook Farm took their Fall Fest to a whole new level for their 2021 season when they introduced their BRAND-NEW “Eerie Illuminations Light Show” where you can take a leisurely hayride around the farm after nightfall to watch as spooky displays dance along to music. There is so much to do during Shady Brook Farm’s Fall Fest that you will want to make sure to leave yourself plenty of time to conquer it all. Walk through their two haunted attractions – The Haunted Barn and Alien Encounter – which has plenty of creepy scenes and animatronic ghouls, take a ride on a Monster Hearse or a Monster Fire Truck, play on one of the numerous playgrounds, yard games and so much more! Don’t forget to visit the pumpkin fields while you are there to pick out the perfect pumpkin to take home to display.
Valley of Fear
Head on over to Valley of Fear in Feasterville for their 31st “year of fear.” In 2021, Valley of Fear presents to us three attractions – their newly improved haunted hayride with brand new scenes, Willie’s Shipwreck Cove and Miles Manor Haunted House. A variety of haunting entertainment will be popping up throughout the month of October, so check out their entertainment schedule to see what magic shows, freak shows, live music and other events are coming up.
