Core Creek Park

An active park with many events and activities. Playgrounds, picnicking, hiking, ball fields, tennis, horseback riding trails, boating, and fishing.

Delaware River Access

ONLY eight acres are developed. A popular location for boating (launch area for Delaware River), fishing and picnicking. Hours: 8 am to sunset. 108 acres.

Frosty Hollow Park

MAJOR attraction is tennis ($), though it is also good for picnicking and hiking. Hours: 8 am to sunset. 95 acres.

Lake Towhee Park

Playground, picnicking, hiking, ball fields, horseback riding trails, fishing, camping ($), ice skating, nature area. 552 acres includes 50-acre lake. 8 am to sunset.

Lost River Caverns

Underground guided tour of natural limestone cavern with crystal formations and Crystal Chapel.  Picnic grove, museum, gift shop. Open all year, closed Jan 1, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Neshaminy State Park

330 acres along the Delaware River. Picnic benches, grills, playground, pavilion, pool ($), four miles of trails, boat mooring and launch ramps. Leashed pets welcome.

Nockamixon State Park

5,283 acres for swimming pool, picnic tables, bicycle, equestrian and hiking trails, fishing, hunting, cross-country skiing, sledding, ice fishing and ice skating.

Oxford Valley Park

Hiking, fishing, ice skating, golf course ($) and swimming pool ($) in season are the major activities. Pool is handicapped accessible. Hours: 8 am to sunset. 225 acres.

Peace Valley Nature Center

Solar-heated Nature Center offers a gift shop and access to miles of hiking trails. Group tours available.

Peace Valley Park

Playgrounds, picnicking, hiking, boating, fishing, ice skating and paved bicycle trails.

Playwicki Park

Located along the Neshaminy Creek, this is a favorite location for it has playgrounds, picnicking, hiking, ball fields and fishing. Hours: 8 am to sunset. 33 acres.

Ralph Stover State Park

Forty-five acre park along the Tohickon Creek and adjoining the Tohickon Valley County Park. Fishing, hiking, canoeing, rock climbing, and picnicking.  Includes High Rock Vista.   Open 8 am to sunset.

Ringing Rocks

The major attractions are boulder fields containing rock which, when struck, ring like a bell. The largest waterfall in the county is also here. Picnicking is available. Hours: 8 am to sunset. 123 acres.

Silver Lake Park & Nature Center

468 acres, playgrounds, picnicking, hiking, ball fields, boating, fishing, ice skating, museum with gift shop, amphitheater, butterfly garden and programs for the public available.

Sportsplex

15 acres and 100,000 square foot indoor facility, we host sporting events, company picnics, trade shows, hockey, swimming, tennis, field hockey, lacrosse and summer camps.

Stover-Myers Mill

A circa-1800 water-powered gristmilll/sawmill that produced flour, free and lumber for over 150 years. A National Historic Place. Open May-Oct or by appointment. Donations accepted.

Tinicum Park

126 acres offering day and overnight accommodations with playgrounds, picnicking, hiking, ball fields, fishing, ice skating and disc golf course. Group and family camping available.

Tohickon Valley Park

583 acres: playgrounds, picnicking, hiking, ball fields, fishing (trout stocked annually) and swimming pool in season. 22 campsites. Hours: 8 am to sunset.

Tyler State Park

Hiking, bicycling and exercise trails, nature trail, fishing, picnic facilities, summer canoe rental and mobile food concession. Environmental programs for groups with advance notice.
