Washington Crossing Historic Park

Site where, Christmas Night, 1776, Washington crossed the Delaware River. Includes village of Taylorsville, Thompson-Neely House, Bowman's Hill Tower and Revolutionary soldiers' graves.

Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve

Native wildflowers, ferns, shrubs, trees in naturalistic settings. Trails. Woods, meadows, pond, creek. Visitor Center with exhibits, shops.

Bucks County Audubon Society

Birding on 110+ acres of the trails, includes woodlands, meadowlands and waterways.  Trail maps available at the Visitors Center barn.  A National Historic Landmark District.

Bucks County Recreation Council

A voluntary organization of local Parks & Recreation Departments whose purpose is to enhance the quality of life through parks and recreation.

Churchville Nature Center

ALL AGES can enjoy nature trails, picnicking and a wildlife garden. The Nature centre building offers exhibits and a small gift shop.

Core Creek Park

An active park with many events and activities. Playgrounds, picnicking, hiking, ball fields, tennis, horseback riding trails, boating, and fishing.

Dark Hollow Park

770 Acres. Undeveloped linear park bordering the Neshaminy Creek. Major attraction is fishing - trout stocked annually. 8 am to sunset. Free.

Delaware Canal State Park

A National Historic Landmark, this park follows the 60-mile course of the Delaware Canal and provides convenient access to the bicycle/walking path.

Delaware River Access

ONLY eight acres are developed. A popular location for boating (launch area for Delaware River), fishing and picnicking. Hours: 8 am to sunset. 108 acres.

Delhaas Woods

MANAGED as part of Silver Lake Nature Center, this park has several miles of walking trails passing through PA rare habitats and past PA rare plant species. Hours: 8 am to sunset. 170 acres.

Falls of the Delaware

CURRENTLY undeveloped. This park is adjacent to the Delaware River and Delaware (Roosevelt) Canal State Park. Hours: 8 am to sunset. 125 acres.

Five Mile Woods

285-acre nature preserve. Heavily-wooded trails and tree canopy provide an escape from direct sunlight on hot days. Terrain is level with a few gentle slopes.

Fonthill Park

Picnicking, hiking are available in this park that wraps around the historic sites of the Mercer home - Fonthill and the Moravian Pottery and Tile Works.  8 am to Sunset. 10 acres.

Frosty Hollow Park

MAJOR attraction is tennis ($), though it is also good for picnicking and hiking. Hours: 8 am to sunset. 95 acres.

Hal H. Clark Park

UNDEVELOPED. It is adjacent to the Delaware River and Delaware (Roosevelt) Canal State Park. Hours: 8 am to sunset. 27 acres.

Lake Towhee Park

Playground, picnicking, hiking, ball fields, horseback riding trails, fishing, camping ($), ice skating, nature area. 552 acres includes 50-acre lake. 8 am to sunset.

Neshaminy State Park

330 acres along the Delaware River. Picnic benches, grills, playground, pavilion, pool ($), four miles of trails, boat mooring and launch ramps. Leashed pets welcome.

Nockamixon State Park

5,283 acres for swimming pool, picnic tables, bicycle, equestrian and hiking trails, fishing, hunting, cross-country skiing, sledding, ice fishing and ice skating.

Oxford Valley Park

Hiking, fishing, ice skating, golf course ($) and swimming pool ($) in season are the major activities. Pool is handicapped accessible. Hours: 8 am to sunset. 225 acres.

Peace Valley Nature Center

Solar-heated Nature Center offers a gift shop and access to miles of hiking trails. Group tours available.
