Knecht's Covered Bridge

Located in Springtown Township, Knecht’s Covered Bridge is on Knecht Bridge Road, which is a right or left turn off Slifer Valley Road, depending on how you approach. Built in 1873, this bridge is also known as “Slifer’s Bridge.”  Built of Hemlock, it crosses Durham Creek. German settlers from the early 1700’s established homesteads in this fertile valley.

Height Limit:  11 ft 6 in; Width: 15 ft; Weight Limit:  3 tons; Length:  110 ft
